Ubisoft Closes Belgrade Studio, 100 Employees Let Go - Insider Gaming

Another Ubisoft studio is closing its doors. Insider Gaming understands that Ubisoft Belgrade is the latest studio being shut down by the French publisher. It joins the sudden closure of Ubisoft Winnipeg. Ubisoft Belgrade was formed in 2016. During its time, the Serbian support studio worked on games such as Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Wildlands, The Crew 2, Rainbow Six, Skull & Bones, and more. All employees at the studio have been let go, which was around 100 people strong. When it formed, the studio began with just 10 employees. Sources say that interproject processes at Ubisoft are being “revamped” with new strategies. This has led to studio closures, layoffs, and employees being taken off certain projects. Valve says it’s ready to launch the Steam Machine this summer - The Verge

Valve now says that the delayed Steam Machine PC and Steam Frame VR headset are set to launch sometime this summer. In a Thursday blog post detailing its Verified programs for both pieces of hardware, Valve concludes by saying that “We’re excited for players to try your titles on the new Steam hardware once they launch this summer.” When the company originally announced the Machine and Frame alongside its new Steam Controller late last year, it said that it would start shipping the new gadgets in early 2026.
